After an outstanding performance at this weekend’s qualifier in Madison, Team 6914 has officially advanced to the State Championship!
This talented team, composed of 7th-12th graders, demonstrated incredible skill, teamwork, and perseverance. Their hard work paid off with: Third-Seed Alliance Captain, Top 5 Overall Performance, and The Inspire Award – the highest honor awarded at the event!

#WeAreSFSD 8th graders wrapped up their studies on Plate Tectonics and the Rock Cycle with an impressive Capstone Project. They showcased their work to 4th-grade students, who are just beginning to explore these concepts in their science classes. It was a fantastic opportunity for cross-grade learning and inspiration! 🌍🪨👩🔬👨🔬

What an amazing night at #WeAreSFSD's first Stargazing Night! 🌠 Despite some clouds, everyone enjoyed a stellar presentation by Matthew Ryno from The Milwaukee Astronomical Society. Thanks to the PTO for the hot cocoa and treats, and to the NHS students for helping with planet prints on t-shirts. Plus, we unveiled our new telescopes, which are available for checkout! Ms. Sterkel's Life Skills Class wrapped up their Ronald McDonald Fundraiser with an impressive collection of over 116,000 pop tabs, weighing in at 75 pounds, thanks to the amazing efforts of the Deer Creek community! A special shoutout to the #WeAreSFSD 8th grade for collecting the most.
Over the break, Ms. Sterkel and her family delivered the pop tabs to a grateful Ronald McDonald House. Heartfelt thanks to everyone for supporting such a meaningful cause and providing a fantastic learning opportunity for the students! 🌟💖
